towing an auto 4R ?

The manual says you have to use wheel dollies to tow a '97 4R 4WD with auto transmission. I believe the manual, but wonder if any of have a way figured to tow one with all four wheels grounded? Thanks

Put the transmission in neutral, and the 4wd lever in neutral. I read that somewhere in my manual.

Yes, I agree on that, but the manual is pretty emphatic that anything but short distance and slow speed will damage the tranny. I guess I've answered my own question. Thanks
