towing
From all I have read, you can never go wrong with adding a seperate tranny cooler, towing or not !
Those links to the other threads kinda tells it all.
But, be aware, that the weight limit is about stopping ability.
I have an 8 H X 12 L with a flat front that I tow with the mc inside all the time. Because of the weight of approx 3,500 and wind resistance, gas mileage sux. But it kinda does without the trailer anyway..... Be patient and keep the rpm's to a minimum, and the mileage is much better. As stated, power is not the issue, but it does take a bit more to stop it.
As to a smaller trailer, I hardly know my jet ski trailer is back there. Approx 1,000 lbs. No difference in mileage or braking noticable.
Also, as a possible newbie to driving something viewed as a little slow, understand that people will cut infront of you to avoid being stuck behind you.
This fact never ceases to amaze me. They never consider that you might need more space to slow, or stop.
