Apply to 2014 4Runner Trail Premium?

You do mention this works for 2016 4Runners, but would the material be the same for 2014 Trail as far as you know?

For the basic stuff, like power train, suspension and the like, it should work for all 5th generation 4Runners. Where you will have problems is with the things that change every couple years: lights, radio, trim, seats.

Quick update: When a user (like me) buys a subscription, the "blue info boxes" link to the user's personal information for some reason. I prefer to stay anonymous as possible because I'm not looking for financial compensation or public notoriety. As far as the which years this manual covers, technically, it just covers 2016, technically speaking. The way it works is, each and every component of a Toyota vehicle has its own, individual "service life". These services lives are independent of all other components and vary each year. Most component service lives usually last *around* 4 years, some stick around for a decade. Generally, the more crucial a component is (drive line components being very crucial) last longer. If you notice the dates listed at the top of each page of this service manual, it's almost always a range of years. As long as the component(s) you're dealing with falls within this range, you have nothing to worry about. If you have an older or newer vehicle that does NOT fall within these respective ranges, you're kind of in no-man's land. These parts don't vary drastically, so realistically, as long as you use common sense and have a little mechanical prowess, you'll be fine. If not, go spend $25 and download w/ever pages you need to get the job done..... like a man lol. Although I didn't explicitly say this in this post, a big part of the reason for posting this in the first place was to help people break away from *ONLY* relying on what our "authorities" want us to be able to do. Seriously? How much blood, sweat and tears did you spend on your 4Runner? A hunk of metal with wheels. Almost everything in this guide came from the works of other peoples' hard work. Take that stick and start drawing your very own line in the sand. This guide alone won't be enough to keep your vehicle road worthy for 30 years. This is merely a starting point and a template to get you *COMFORTABLE* enough to take care of *YOUR* vehicle, on your own terms. Thank the guys behind you, grab that baton and run your race. 'Nuf said.
 
I have a iMac and when I completed downloading, and clicked on manual folder but there's not a single file that needs to be unzipped. Basically I don't see any compressed files.. am I missing something.. please help
 
Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a monumental task this must have been to put together, but it is greatly appreciated. I just purchased a used 2019 Toyota 4runner SR5 Premium from a guy who kept this thing in outstanding condition. As part of my normal approach to any vehicle I get, I start off by obtaining all the original Owner's manuals as well as the good ol' Haynes or Chilton service manuals. Well, since it's been about 20+ years since I got a 'newer' car, it caught me by surprise that those two service manuals weren't around. However, I am no stranger to using digital files, so all your hard work was very much welcome. Here is my two cent's worth after reading some of the comments regarding downloading/obtaining the file: Do exactly what the OP says!!! Manually write the file name/address down exactly as written; upper case, lower case, etc. It took me an hour of frustration to realize I was off by one stinking lower case letter. Entered correctly, it took me right to the file. I downloaded the zipped file to my 'downloads' directory, downloaded and installed 7-zip, then went back and used 7-zip to unzip the Manual. Just to be safe, I made a copy of the file and saved it in my "documents" file for this particular truck. Since all this has been done using my desktop, I will probably copy it to a thumb drive and use my iPad when servicing the vehicle. Or...I can print out whatever pages I need at the time. Long story short, I really appreciate all the great information that has been provided by not only this author, but for the input posted to Toyota-4runner.org

This is the TOYOTA 2016-2019 4Runner Repair Manual RM27F0U!!!
This took me nearly a month of pain and hating my life, so you don't have to!
It states that this technically covers 2020 4Runners too, but I think I made a mistake, as for example, the VF2CM is NOT mentioned in this manual.
Therefore, this manual REALLY only technically covers 2016-2019.

Hi all. I downloaded this several years ago and the computer that it was on was destroyed.

I just tried to download again it using info from OP post but had no luck. I am not very computer literate.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I think I got to the part that required password.I used the one from the OP but did not work. I guess it changed?

I am using a Mac Mini now but to have access to a windows machine if that would work better.

Thanks. I had noticed OP absence as well. Hoped someone had recently downloaded it just to know it was still available to be downloaded.
