I think it's a disgrace when people turn decent cars into taxis. They should stick to the typical taxis, like the impalas, malibus, caravans, etc...

Is there somewhere that rents 4runners? specifically to OFFROAD in?

As for all the other posts. Ugly and inefficient for a taxi is right, I mean the taxi driver gets to chill in a safe comfy and arguably in the best SUV out there, for some people sacrificing gas mileage may be worth it =)

That's a good question... I would assume there must be. I mean you can rent a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 599GTB for a day to play with on a track so there must be a rental company for off road stuff?

There's lots of Jeep rental places in southern Utah. Dunno about 4Runners though.

Most folks that rent aren't gonna know the difference anyway.

in europe they use Mercedes Benzes as Taxis in places like Denmark!

Mercedes Benz is common in some of the Middle Eastern Countries and so is BMW 5 series. I got the chance to board one in Duabi.
