New to the forum, thanks for any help in advance.
Have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner V6 4WD about 192,000 miles on it.
Recently I have had a problem where when I first get in the vehicle in the morning it acts as though it won't accelerate. If I press down all the way on the accelerator it revs up and down between 1-2k rpms then does small sputters and backfires.
If I gradually lay on the accelerator it accelerates better. Once the engine has warmed up I can accelerate okay, but still if I lay on the accelerator it feels as though it doesn't want to accelerate.
Initially we thought it was the throttle controller not opening the butterfly properly so we replaced that. Just curious if anyone else has seen this issue or heard of it and knows a fix.
Thanks in advance let me know if you have any questions.
