Toyota 4Runner Computer

I am curious to know if anyone has played with the settings on the 4runner mpg computer? I am one of the many Canadian's that bought a US 4Runner and find it hard to adapt to MPG vs L/100. Has any played with these switches ?

I've had the assembly completely apart to change lamps and clean the spots where they twist on to the pc boards with a pencil eraser. I didn't notice any switches though other than the obvious ones for clock, clear, and heater switches. What were you hoping to find?

I was hoping those dial's might switch the computer from mpg to l/100. I didn't want to turn anything without some advice from someone on the board.

Yeah I was amazed at the way it's built. Those round switch pc boards have LEDs on them and go to ribbon connectors. Stuff I usually see in pro audio units.

I know that this may be a stretch, but would it possibly help to look for a unit from a European or Australian T4R? I only say if there's no alternative on the unit you have.
