Toyota 4runner Led Halo Projector Headlights

I just always thought H1 bulbs were for driving/fog lights not for headlights?

Seems really weird that they would use an H1 when our trucks use a 9006.

I wonder if the projectors they used are foglight projectors?

He's saying they use H1, which I linked to a picture above. They don't really look like headlight bulbs with such a small bulb.

They are definintely H1. I installed my HID's last night and I can fully guarantee it. Sorry Alexjet I didn't get anymore halogen pics on the cutoff. I will take some shots with the HIDs though. I will also get a daytime pic of the headlights. I dont think these projectors are that high of quality though and I may need to adjust them more.

that's why I'm wondering if they used some sort of projectors made for fog lights or something. If that's the case, it's really too bad.

I really like how they look.

Turns out the projectors are actually decent I just had my alignment way out. They follow the same pattern as a TSX lens I guess from what I have been reading. It looks like this:

And what is the warning 4 the 9006 bulb if you use these halo projectors. Can the 9006 bulb fit these headlights?

Any people interested in a group buy? I'm sure we'll save some $ if we can get 10 people or so to purchase them. I want to save as much money as possible to match the led housing with 8000k HIDs maybe. Also, I have a black 05 4runner with a JAOS Chrome grill with black tailights. Im deciding whether to go with the black or chrome headlight housing?

I do NOT believe these (H1) bulbs are headlight bulbs. I'm thinking the creator of this projector type light just used the housing and bulb from the fog lamp assembly used on the 03-05 Runners. If you look closely at the pics here, then go out to your Runner and look at the fogs; then you will see the similarity.

This projector light kit is just a 03-05 4Runner's housing which has wired 03-05 4Runner fog lens being used for the low beams.

Does anyone know if these will pass inspection for those states (like MA) that requires annual inspections? If they are not DOT approved - and I doubt these are - it could mean that the 4R will fail inspection. The LEDs and other fancy ricer lights on them will certainly stick out when the guy is doing a visual on the truck and he'll immediately see that they aren't OEM.

These do say that they are SAE DOT approved on the lense. If you are afraid of the leds then just disconnect them prior to the inspection. I think they are ok though because they are white and they face forward.

Sorry I have not posted pics up yet guys as I have been out of town and as of now there is a layer of grime on my truck from the road trip. As soon as it is clean and shiny I will take the pics and post them.

Alright here are the daytime pics as well as pics with the HIDs. My camera is not picking up the full amount of light that these are putting out. Anyways here is the idea.
