Speedinfiniti on ebay also has these lights. He sells them preinstalled with HID and includes blue and amber LEDs for the eyebrows. I have sent a message inquiring on a group buy of 10-20. If there is enough interest I believe we may get a significant discount from one of the dealers offering these on ebay.

I see that, from their store it's $428 shipped for the housings + HID. That's a great price for the upgrade. But I'm a bit worried because of the "get what you pay for" cliche.

Well I installed these lights late last week. My report on them is this:

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

1 - The H1 bulbs bought did NOT even fit properly into the light. I had turn turn them sideways and grind off the little centering tabs just to get them into the housing.

2 - There are massive "cold" spots right where the light should be concentrated the most.

3 - The chrome work is very bad.

These are a piece of sh1t, don't buy them. Cheap projector..cheap materials, they simply are just PURE CRAP.

What will I do?

Source out and retrofit true HID projectors into my factory lights, OR, just go back to the stock lights with HID rebased kit.

well i might be one of the people to buy these. I am going for the black and gold motif and was holding off on buying the blacked out lights from burtman until i returned from japan. but seeing these he may have a little competition unless he can sell me a set : but this design hasnt grown on me like the jdm blacked out lights have.

I can get anything For those that want the projector type, let me know, there are several versions, and some aren't as good as others. The JDM sytle ones are on the site as we speak. I've had good luck with these below.

In your pics those are reflectors not projectors. Do you have any pic(s) of the good projector types? Something similar to the 06 4runner projectors but will fit the 03-05 4runner. I know lots of poeple on this forum would be interested in purchasing them as myself.:awais:

Actually read the posts previous to yours also: LV4R didn't seem to have a problem with his. I wonder if you didn't buy the exact same pair (brand) as LV4R bought???

First off, i did buy the EXACT SAME LIGHTS from the EXACT SAME SELLER.

LV4R obviously never put HID into his original REFLECTOR housing, like I had, otherwise he would have noticed as well that the light spread is horrible.

You can see it in the picture from inside the truck. There is a big black 'hole' in the middle of the road and it's bright on either side of it.

This is my last warning for you bro. Don't buy these lights, they are sh1t.

I've attached a picture to explain the 'cold spot' on the lights. Mine is even more pronounced than this one.

Its too bad that you have had such a bad experience with these roccos_van. I know that there are way better projectors out there and you definitely "get what you pay for". After having these on now for a while and driving with them I am still happy with them because I only paid $280. If I would have gone with the 2006 headlights or a retrofit I probably would have paid over $500. I found that having the HIDs in the fog projectors makes up for whatever the headlights lack.

Did you align them as well?? I know mine needed all sorts of adjustment to get them to the proper alignment. Even in that picture you posted with the cold spot they still were not aligned properly as that right headlight was aiming way out to the right. I noticed this when I was driving to colorado because all of the highway signs were getting lit up like crazy so I made the adjusment at a gas station. Now they are finally properly aligned.

As for the bulbs not fitting I had the same problem when I tried to put them in the first time. I was pretty pissed at that too. I tried again after thinking I would have to trim the housing and although the fit was pretty tight I did manage to get them in without any trimming.

Yeah, you could not have said it any better: "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". So true...

You see I was looking for a cheap short cut, hoping to get a nice cut-off, like my dad's 2007 ltd. I did the hid retrofit in his and the cut-off is amazing. It's almost as good as true HID.

As for these lights, I tried and tried to aim these things, but they just don't work for me. I'm going to either buy TSX or A6 projectors and retrofit, or just go back to stock.

LV4R; if you put the hid in your stock lights, you won't believe how much better you can see.

Did you have to turn the HID H1 bulb sideways to get it to fit? That's what i did. I also had to trim the little centering nipples on the bulb base to get them to seat. Sound familiar?

OK good to know. If they are the same lights DO NOT BUY THEM!!! They are just horrible. I'm going to take mine off and re-sell them on ebay or craig's list.

Well i'm off to buy some tsx projectors and start a retrofit.
