Toyota Black OEM Tail Lights

I received my genuine black tail lights today from Carson Toyota. It took only 4 weeks to get them. They estimated that it would take 6. They were super easy to install. I did it this morning before work even though I was already running a bit late.

The next thing I need to do is add new tires, and probably do a lift. I also want to get the TRD leather package, but we'll see how that goes.

The black tail lights seem to make the 4R look a bit more aggressive, but still very stock.

They're not cheap, but they are well worth it for the genuine Toyota tail lights. They were around $400 for the pair. My original tail lights are now making a nice pair of book ends on my bookshelf.

Tail lights look great. Also that Jaos Center Protector on front is so nice..... . To bad it's so expensive.....

I rotate it on and off every other week. I find that when I don't have it on, I get 1 to 3 new rock chips each week. I like the look better with it off, but for some reason, my 4R seems to be a magnet for rock chips, so it helps to keep those down. I also make sure it's on for long road trips.

Those JDM black tail look sweet on a white 4R! Same here about the rock chip without the mask. I would keep mine on but i hate to take it off when it rain and it does rain once or twice a week here. Now I only use the mask on long road trip to save time washing bugs and chit off the front.

I'll answer part of that question. Yes, they are from Toyota Japan. Since they are a Japanese part I think this usually means there is no warranty. But, the quality should still be there. Just thought I would share that little detail that most people haven't talked about. I have several Japanese Toyota parts and have been completely happy with them. I did order them from Carson, however, for me, even if I were to receive them today (which according to ups, isn't going to happen as they have not arrived at the UPS facility yet), it will have been 7.5 weeks.

I've heard that the fronts are more difficult to install due to a tricky bolt that's hidden away. I look forward to seeing how they look on your rig though.

I have heard the same thing. Will definitely be sure to post up some pics. The rears are easy as ever.

Now... that would kind of make me upset if they were stock on an '06. Then instead of driving around all happy, I would slightly frown for spending so much money.

After spending 1500 on the nav, 312 on the yota amp designed for the navigation, 860 on the black lamps/rear lenses, a small amount on the rear bumper light mod, I think I need to take a short break.

How long till Christmas!

As far as I know, Toyota is going to introduce LED tail lights for 2006. We have to wait till official release date, which is going to be (information from Japan) July 17.
