Can Dealerships be trusted to actually do an oil change on a 4Runner and do it correctly? We had a Carolla years ago and the local dealer never did any of the work we paid them for and we only found out when an oil leak developed and the water pump failed just after paying for it to be replaced.

It's hard to find a dealer you can trust to do repairs competently.
It's not that techs are incompetent (some are), but they're under pressure to get a job done quickly, so a lot of time it gets done improperly or half-assed.
Even simple jobs like an oil change can turn into a disaster because the drain plug wasn't installed tightly and falls out down the road, or it's cross threaded and leaks, or ...
