Toyota code scanner

Hello all.
I'm glad to be here. This is my first post.
What would you do to do daily maintenance and diagnosis...using a scanner or else?
To get a scanner seems not bad and convinent, so I googled Toyota code scan tools.
I found a Maxiscan JP701 and a MVCI for Toyota Honda, both look ok. Now I'm wondering if anyone can give me an advice that which one is better?

All you need is an OBD2 code reader, it doesn't have to be Toyota specific. Also don't forget that many parts stores (autozone etc.) will check your codes for free so it might not even be worth buying. No need for "daily maintenance" its not an airplane or a Chrysler product for that matter
