Toyota Corolla AC problem

I recently heard a noise frm my engine like a gas leak & aftr tht AC stopped working. I tuk my car to mechanic who said tht d compressor is leaking & needs 2 be replaced. As thr ws no shop nearby tht hd new compressor, I bought a 2nd hand and took it to the mech. The mech cleaned the system, replaced compressor & filled gas wth automatic machine he had. As I drove out of his workshop, AC worked for 3-4km for abt 5min & stopped working. I went back 2 mech & he tested it again. The mechanic told d gas is intact in the system & the compressor is not able to pump the gas in the system.
The compresor guy is saying the compressor is in full working order & the system is choked with the pieces of the earlier compressor tht are yet to be flushed out.
Is the mechnic right in saying tht the compressor is not able to push the air or is the compressor guy right by saying tht the system is choked up?
My car is Toyota Corolla 2005 ZZE122. Plz advise & also let me knw cost of new compressor if u suspect it is faulty.

Sounds like that compressor is all sorts of faulty. I recommend flushing it with 4 litres of Alka-Seltzer and water. If that doesn't work, go to the store and get a portable AC unit and 300ft of extension cord. That should keep the inside cool for long enough for you to flip it into a ditch and call the insurance company for a write-off. You might be labeled as liable for the accident but you should get a payout regardless.... if you have the right policy. Then just spend that on an older Corolla with working AC that barely costs anything to insure.

Great, then you should ask a Supra forum how to replace your muffler bearings.

wow man i dont like the things I hear about new corolla.MY last car was an integra gs-r and it was a toss up between that and the corolla xrs.Couldnt find the xrs in my area so I took gs-r but the motor in the xrs is much stronger and ALOT more reliable.SELL THAT COROLLA AND GET THE XRS lol
