Has anyone else received something of this nature in the mail? I assume it's from my ownership of the Toyota Matrix I owned from 2007-2012 and not the 4Runner I owned from 2012-2013 nor the current 4Runner I've had for a year. The check is for $29.23 from Bank of the West.

I'm the original, as well as current owner of my 2005 4Runner and I certainly have not received anything like that. That being said, I'm sure, somewhere, there is a law firm in business with a much bigger bank account right now.

Update, aaannddd here's what the attorneys got!!!

I actually got 2 checks for that amount. It had something to do with unintended acceleration. The only 2 Toyota vehicles I've ever owned are the 4Runner and my wife's FJCruiser.

I deposited the check and it went through, so I guess it was legit. I did some reading and with all the scams these days, apparently I'm not the only one who thought the situation was a scam. Sooo I'm $29 richer... :whoo:

Hey, have not posted in a while my 4r died last year. I got a check for $49.85 yesterday and was curious how many other people have got one. I assume it was because of my '05 4r or my wife's old '05 rav4 or both.

I just received a check today for $58.46. We owned a '99 Avalon until 2003 then replaced with a '04 Lexus rx so not sure what this for.

I got the notice several month ago, I believe for my 2010 Corolla; but no check yet.

Yes but the 2010+ 4runners (or my Avalon/RX330) were not listed as vehicles with the potential problem?? Why would anyone with a 5th Gen receive this notice and check? :crazy:
