This toyota is my girlfriends 1994 4runner v6 truck and has been one problem after another. 150k miles on the truck.
I have replaced the plugs and the wires for this truck about 1.5 years ago. i have replaced the starter and fixed a cracked intake tube issue. i also had to clear a coolant passage on throttle body due to rust buildup which also made the truck pulse rpms from 1.5k rpm to 3k rpm.
I have fixed these issues and the truck ran OK for awhile. She recently had her engine light turn on and the truck stutters when accelerating from low rpm ranges. 1.5k to 2.5k. The truck would do this and get worse about it until the engine light would come on and it would be pretty bad. The code i received from the computer was (Code 25 Air/fuel ratio LEAN) i would like to know what suggestion people would have about tackling this issue. I plan on replacing the valve cover gaskets soon and when i have the intake off i would like to fix what ever else could be that issue. oxy sensors? MAF sensor? fuel filter? egr valve? pcv valve. im sorta in the air on this one all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
