USA 4R's up $600 across the board, starting with May deliveries. No word from Canada, yet, but sure to follow.
No price increase for Lexus LFA, in case you were kicking tires.

PDF with news release and model specific price increases attached.

perhaps due to the value of the USD$ ? i would hope Canada doesnt follow as our dollar is currently worth more than the USD and we already pay higher prices...

Not surprised. Guessing Toy sells every 4R they choose to build. I've never seen a promotion for them, never even seen one on their commercials.

It's mostly due to the sad events that happened in Japan. Not so much the USD, even though it is weak. At least your not looking at getting a duramax those shot up about $1000 here.

Update: Toyota says it's because of the strength of yen over the US dollar. Not related to quake and tsunami. Also Canada says it won't be raising prices. At least not yet.

The Ben Bernanke likes to print money and call it quantitative easing 2...
End result is more dollars in money supply and effective devaluation of the dollar. Part of the reason commodity prices are on the rise.

There has been advertisements on Nascar races about every week. It goes something like "5th gen 4runner, you in".

Sadly, I suspect the US is likely to see more of this in coming months as the price of printing money turns into imported inflation in addition to the raw effects of increased money supply. I fear there is a bubble yet to burst.

I am hoping Canada will at least see a delayed effect since the strengthening of the Canadian dollar has not been reflected in many products including Toyotas for quite some time but we won't escape it given our close trading links.

I purchased my TE with KDSS a few days before the tragic events in Japan. It was the only one within 100 miles of Denver. I did get a reasonable deal on the car and now really glad I got it when I did. It could have been a very long wait with no price negotiation.

Yeah, makes sense. I see all over the tv and in their dealership for 0% apr for most of their cars, but, not for the 4runner! Dammit!

How about invoice price?

Does invoice price increase with the same amount in May? Or invoice price already increased?
