Toyota NAV Map upgrade 2010

I got a notice that there is a new release for the OEM Nav system (I have a 2008 Limited). Anyone have any info on improvements it may have.

Also, I would hope all my waypoints entered/saved would not be affected by replacing the NAV DVD. Any confirmation.

Finally has anyone tried duplicating the DVD for backup purposes? I have pirate SW that allows commercial DVDs to be copied, thought of trying this and running off the copy in case the original is somehow damaged.
