Toyota pinstripe 2010 4runner

2010 Limited 4 Runner with Toyota logo black pinstripe .
The drivers door is starting to peel off in 2 places. The vehicle has 6k miles & not a scratch on it . Seems a little sketchy that this would happen. My Honda with 100k+ still has all of it's striping intact.

Does Toyota apply this or the dealer ?
Anyone on this board have an issue with theirs ?

Not an option, far as I know. Suggest you ask your dealer.

Adding a pinstripe to a 4Runner (or any car, for that matter) is like pouring ketchup on a filet mignon.

Dealer installed - don't know if I have seen any others with it installed. If my dealer did it he would be out there taking it off the minute after it was installed.

Quality has to do with how it was installed or the quality of the tape/adhesive itself also. Personally I would heat it gently, remove it, and never look back.

I like the pinstripe , it doesn't really scream JC Whitney or anything. Guess i'll have to check with the dealer .

Now I wonder about the leather seats ? THEY certainly don't hold a candle to the previous seats I had in a Chevy Silverado LT. I have head that they may be dealer install seat covers ? Guess I should pay some fat bas**** to drive my 4Runner around to break em in ....lol

You mentioned that you have a Limited, so those are factory leather seats.

The pinstripes are definitely dealer or port-installed options, not factory (as in the factory in Japan).

My dealer "surprised" me with pinstripes, door-edge guards, and wheel-edge guards on my Venza at no additional charge. I had a "ketchup on a filet mignon" reaction at first to the pinstripe and planned to remove it.

Almost two years later, I definitely would not pay to have it done, and I'm not requesting it on my next vehicle, but I'll have to admit that my Venza's pinstripe has grown on me.

I was considering having painted on pinstripes put on my '10 t4r.

There were hand painted pinstripes on my Lex GS300 when I bought it, they were very well done and really looked good. The stick-on ones I would pass on, especially on a truck.
