Toyota Radio Aux Input?

This is the factory radio on my european version 4Runner.

Does it have an aux input?

I would like to connect my iPod.

P.D. On the lower screen it shows the fuel consumption in liters per 100km. So far, it's giving me 30mpg highway/21mpg city (Diesel).

It appears identical to my stock 6 speaker system head unit. It does have an aux input but you'll need an adapter from PIE or Blitzsafe.

It looks the same as the US version. Do a search for P.I.E. adapter or Blitzsafe and you will find lots of info about an aux input for it.

I was looking at these systems on Crutchfield:

USA SPEC Auxiliary Interface (DF-TOY)
"Connect a music player to your 1998-up Toyota factory radio!"

But somewhere it says that it requires a Head Unit with CD Changer controller.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see any button on my HU for a CD Changer.

Help please?

You press the DISC button twice to switch to a changer. You have to have something plugged in the AUX port in hte back for the feature to funtion.

Can I reach the aux input from the back, or do I have to disassemble the whole front?

How do you know you have 30mpg on hwy and 21mpg in city?
Is the info only available in Euro version?

Yes, the 9.5 l/100km you see on the display means it consumes 9.5 liters of fuel every 100 kilometers. If you convert it to mpg, it would be close to 30 miles per gallon.

In the city, it's usually 12.5 l/100km, and in highway it's 8 l/100km.

Diesel. Not available in the US.

Now, I know how to read the display.

100km .=. 62.5 miles
9.5l .=. 2.375 gal

Then divide 2.375 gal into 62.5 miles, we have
62.5/2.375=26.3 miles/gal

Seems Diesel has longer driving range than gas.

My display is calibrated in litres per 100 kilometres, as is your's. I don't believe the computer, though, as on a recent highway trip, I consumed 11 l/100 km, which translates into 25.7 miles per imperial gallon. With the 4.7l V8, I doubt this is accurate.
