Toyota Stainless Exhuast Tip for TE?

Does anyone have one of the Toyota exhaust tips installed on the Trail Edition? I have seen them on the Sr5 models, but none on the trail. I am getting ready to do a little exhaust work, and I like the way Toyota's tip looks when in place. Just checking to make sure that it would not stick out too far, since the TE rear bumpers are different than the Sr5.

I plan to powder coat the tip black, since the hunt for a new off the shelf black stainless tip does not exist. (Unless you want 4in + diesel tips!)

ditto. bling factor looks totally out of place on the Trail. took mine off.

I cannot tell how low it hangs down below the bumper from the posted pics.

I can tell you that if you are going offroading that it will be the low point in the departure angle and drag.

I have scratches and nicks on the bottom of my exhaust pipe even without the chrome tip.Heard it drag more then once.Probably going to cut mine back another inch.

it's as superfluous as a Hurst shifter on a hatchback. (on a Trail, anyway)

I actually had to use my dremel tool to cut off one of the tangs on the tip because the dealer clamped the shit out of it and I couldn't get it to slide off without some persuasion. Had it came off smoothly I would have sold it to ya sorry.

So they went above and beyond on installation - got it. No worries, I'll probably order one this week, would rather have supported someone from the forum over the industry. Thanks for letting me know.

Comes off fairly easy. I was able to take mine off no problem. To install: There are two crescent shaped spacers that go between the stainless steel tip and the end of the exhaust pipe. Slide those in from behind and clamp in place.
