Toyota tire promo - Michelin Cross Terrains

I got a mailer from Toyota yesterday for -- buy three tires get the third for $1.

So I called the dealer today and got a price on 4 tires, size 265/65/17. The price was $703 for the tires, mounting, balancing and road hazard.

Does that seem like a good deal on these tires?

BTW they only had two oter tires for my size under this deal. One was the Dunlops which I don't want and the other was the Bridgestone Dueler HT's which were priced at $568 for all four.

I have the Bridgestone H/T 804s.

and while I have not griped about them as much as most other owners of teh same tire, I don't drive very hard. Just commute and run up and down the state on freeways. SOme heavy rain but I slow down. No snow or off road yet. SO if you drive fairly conservatively, they are not too bad. But once they wear out, it's BFG or Toyo Open Country or Revos or something much better.

And I forgot to mention the $50 prepaid visa card you get with the Michelins.


I just saw the Dueler HT's on a Landcruiser outside work and I really didn't like the look of those.

Man I wish the GY Fortera's came in my size. They have the look and the qualities I am aiming for.
