Yes it is. It's EHEO linked in the first post of the SSS group buy. I haven't had a chance to try the winch yet.

Only $490 (+ shipping ?) or $640 with two D-ring recovery points. That could almost pay for an off-road bumper. It replaces the aluminum stock bumper and weighs 40 pounds. Some cutting required. I suppose it requires removing the plastic bumper cover too.

Short answer. Don't buy it.

Until the SSS bumper came along that HWMS setup was the only one available for the 14's that fit what I was looking for. Someone asked earlier who made the winch mount. I posted a link to whose I thought it might be. It's not my place to question whether someone is spending too much or not enough. Don't like it don't buy. Seems pretty simple to me. I haven't felt a need to poo-poo the Shrockworks, ARB, Demello, or anybody else's bumpers simply because they weren't what I was looking for, and because I don't have any personal experience dealing with them.

I wish they had done something more exciting than the included RI switches. There are so many options out there that are soooooo much cooler.

I can't imagine the Big T ignoring internet chatter about their products, but think from the company's perspective--they know that they ran a trail edition through the Rubicon trail with just mud terrains and sliders! While we know or believe that there are better parts available than OEM, the proof is in the pudding:

They don't list one for the 4Runner yet. But maybe they're available now or after SEMA.

On another note I sent an email to Smittybilt several months ago inquiring about whether they had developed adapters for their Defender rack to fit the 5th Gen 4Runner. Never heard a word back. I guess you have to be an aftermarket manufacturer to get an answer.... hwell:

It may not make any difference to some, but I called N-FAB about a month ago and asked if they make or were going to make Rock Sliders that bolted onto the frame and not the body...they said they don't and didn't have any plans to make any.

I wouldn't be comfortable using sliders that bolt onto the body unless strickly for show (mall crawling).

Plus if you look at the picture I posted of the stats on it. It lists the smittybilt part number.
