Toyota's are Tough As Hell!

Of course I've always Known that! Anyway I'm located on the Kuwait/Iraq boarder about 25 miles out in the desert from any major highway. The road into our camp is rough as hell. The dirt is like concret and most of it is washboard with some potholes you could hide a german shepard in. This road is about 8 miles in and out. We have 2 NTV's (Non-tactial Vehicle) which are the Toyota Prado. I think these are based off of the land cruiser platform. I've been here 9 months and these vehicles have caught hell the entire time. The road is so rough that it knocks the windshield wipers on! That's rough! I've never seen problems with the A/C or cooling system with temps in the 140Fs. Never seen any suspension or steering problems so far. Thumbs up to Toyota for building one hell of a vehicle!:xnuts:

Hey thanks for serving our country over there. While my brother was deployed there (twice) he saw many a toyota pickup with 8+ people crammed in and in the bed.

Thanks Sharp4runr! It is a Prado! The Pajro is a Mitsubishi I think. But we do use the Toyota. Yeah, they do put 8-10 people in these small trucks. That's some funny #^%#$! These vehicles in this enviroment take a beating on a daily bases. There are ALOT of Toyota's over here. Do you think they're smart enough to have figured out that Toyota makes the best vehicles on the road. Take care man!

Nice to hear. The Prado120 has the same platform as the 4Runner and GX here. The body styling is closer to the GX so it is bigger than the 4Runner. The PRado 90 is on the same platform as the 3rd Gen 4Runner.
