Toyotec lift

Just Spock to toytec again the my lift and they say they are out of the shocks for the complete lift that cost $909 they only gonna get it at the end of the week so now they offering the ultimate kit with 7% off (not like the normal 5%- not a big different but could be vary good news for someone who's ordering them anyways...
So my Question is is the ultimate shocks a really big improvement over the $909 kit? I don't think I really need the option to adjust them (not planing on custom bumper or anything like that- but it never hurt to have the option...)
What do u guys think?

If you don't think you're going to adjust them then you probably don't need to spend the extra money.

Looks like 3" is the max on either option?

You could also get the $620 bilstein front kit and add the superflex coils ($180) and bilstein rears ($200) and save $200 over the ultimate. The only difference is that you'd use your OEM top hats.

Diff drop is another $30 if you want that but I don't think most people use it.

agreed.. the only benefit you'll see with the adjustable coil overs is you have the option to soften or stiffen up the ride to your liking. speaking of the front spring pre load only of course.

The toytec may have a larger diameter spring I'm uncertain. I believe a sway bar relocation kit is required with the setup so I can assume that they are indeed larger.

nothing wrong using the OEM top hats I have them on my front Old Man Emu struts and believe me they've seen they're abuse.

The shock itself is the exact same in all three kits, it's just a Bilstein 5100. I haven't seen anyone else complain about the OEM top hats, they're just not as nice looking as the TT units.

They tried doing the same thing with me in giving me a discount on more expensive front end components, but I just decided to wait for the backorder and they said I should have them by the end of the week. They offered their fully adjustable at a discounted price, but I have no reason for fully adjustable on the front end, as I plan on leaving it at the set height with the new bumper and everything on the front end it should level out. And damn those Radflos aren't cheap?!?!

I just want a lift already. . .

well to be honest if you have plans for a bumper and winch or possibly other weight on the front end the adjust-ability is a benefit to your favor. As you add weight you have the ability with adjustable coil overs to maintain the lift height you desire even as you add more weight.

and the radflo's are a solid investment the company takes great care in all of they're customers they will rebuild them for you at any time basically allowing you to never have to purchase another shock body again. Being rebuild-able other 4x4 shops are also capable of rebuilding and re-valving the shock bodies.

I just ordered a set of there 2.5 extended travel this morning lol I'm all for some radflo's.. If there discounting them accordingly I'd go for it..

Just a side note... I was also able to level the side-to-side lean by adjusting the front coil-overs. It didn't take much at all (maybe about 3/16" difference between the coil-overs), but I got it sitting almost perfectly level. I don't feel that that slight of a difference has had any impact on ride/handling either.

You're right! I think of 'adjustable coil-overs' as actual adjustable coil-overs with the threaded collars. I just looked at the link and the kit referenced can be set up to achieve different amounts of lift by way of various spring perch positions on the shock body.

I've got the toytec bilstien/superflex kit set mentioned previously and I've had no problems from it yet, I think it ran me just over $800, seems like they gave me some kind of added military discount over the phone when I called. Def call to order whatever you decide to go with instead of just ordering online. They are good about adding discounts over the phone.
