Toytec Boss vs Toytec Ultimate vs Icon stage II

Hey everyone,

I am looking for some hands on experience.
I was thinking planning on getting the Icon Stage II or III, but I am wondering if the Toytec Boss or Ultimate will do me just as well and save me some money.

I am trying to find out the quality differences.
Does the Toytec run smoother than stock on the road?
Does the Toytec handle as well off road as Icon?

Just looking for thoughts from people who have used them both or have one currently.

I have the ultimate and like them very much. On the road, they feel as smooth as the stock setup. Off road, they handle just fine. Can't compare to icon since I've never experienced icon. I bought the Ultimate because I couldn't justify the expense of icon. I'm happy with my purchase.

Toytec 3" Ultimate Lift

I'm Running the Toytec 3" Ultimate set with 5100 Bilsteins all round. I love them thus far as a DD/weekend offroader, I don't go crazy off roading much, and when I do, they handled the challenge. I'd recommend them.:fro:

Question for you… I have the same exact ultimate and 5100 set up ready to be installed on my truck. Approximately how high up on the front threaded adjuster are you cranked to net the 2 inch lift? Just trying to find an approximate baseline/starting point for when I install mine.

I'm not sure. I paid a shop to do the installation.

I'm running the Toytec Boss 2.5.

I love it so far. It's a bit stiffer than stock, but that's as to be expected with a beefier suspension set up. Handles everything I've throwing at it with ease. I went with Total Chaos UCA as well. From what I understand, all three are good lifts and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Icon=higher speed off roading. Think baja

Toytec= slower speed off roading. Think crawling

Think about how you'll be using your rig. Dig deep on the forum, there's ton of information out there and go with what feels right. You'll be happy with an educated decision.

The ultimate uses bilstein shocks, the boss uses Eibach shocks. Most that have ridden in both say the Boss rides just a bit better. I found that as well, though not sure how to really describe it. Maybe they just control things better, compression, dampening, and rebound. Just an opinion though. I have no experience with icon myself.
