For clarity I am consolidating a couple of user questions and am looking for feedback and hopefully answers from a Toytec rep.



These are quotes from other threads. Hope fully you can get the drift of the conversation.

I apologize if this question has been answered before but I have not found the answer and just want to clarify before making a mistake. I purchased the Toytec front lift kit - Toytec/Bilstein height adjustable coilovers - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits

The website says that 'Preset at 3" Lift Adjustable with C Clip for additional weight.'

I am kind of confused because I received the coil and the 'C Clip/Perch' is all the way on the bottom. I had coilovers on my previous car and the lower the perch, the lower the car is dumped... Wouldn't it be the same for the Toytec kit as well?

I am attaching a picture of where the 'C Clip' is currently at. It's currently at #1 which is the lowest perch. Is this considered the 'highest setting'?

Is this the correct setting according to the picture: #1 = 3", #2 = 1.85", #3 = 0.85, #4 =0

or is it the other way around? THANK YOU all for your help in advance..

I currently have the Toytec Kit - 3" Lift W/ Bilstein 5100 Height Adj Coilovers FJ/4Runner - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits (Front and Rear) still sitting in the basement, waiting to be installed.

My understanding is the front is pre-set at 3" and can't go any lower. I just got my Shrockworks bumper installed and I am in desperate need to getting this done. But as I am doing more research, I find out that I might have to purchase more parts; diff drop, UCAS, etc. and my biggest concern is running into trouble with the CV axles where grease is popping out.

I am really debating on selling the front set or changing the Toytec Coils to the Adjustable Front Coil Kit from Toytec - Adjustable Front Coil Over Kit for Bilstein Shocks - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits

I know this is eventually more money and I can spend the money on UCAS, diff drop etc. but again my concern is really the CVs leaking. This is my daily driver. My plan is to buy the coilover kit and just leave them at a 2.5" lift height vs. 3", so hopefully that will avoid all the extra worries.

If the Radflo is a better choice, I can go with that as well.

What are your thoughts?

Are you certain that the front suspension can not be set lower with this kit? My understanding is that the springs alone give 1.6" of lift. Therefore the "adjustable" shock perch is providing 1.5" of lift at its pre-set height. I hear that it is "pre-set" to give 3"of lift. I do not think that is the only setting? I believe the perch can be relocated to .85" of shock lift or 0" of shock lift with only the spring providing lift. I asked this question in the Toytec Sponsor thread with no response in weeks. I'd like to know for sure this detail before I pull the trigger on this kit.

Like you were I am confused. I'd like a definitive answer and am still not satisfied as to the facts.:shrug:

The part # appears to be the same for the spring 112620

Why don't you just call their customer service number? lol

They are great and know their stuff inside and out, I've called many times about questions/issues for my rig and even got help on stuff that they don't stock.
