toytec lift alignment issues

Remember that when torquing control arm bushings where they see a lot of strain, they must be torqued to final spec with the weight of the vehicle on them. They can not be torqued fully with no weight on them as it will cause them to bind when the suspension does settle on the ground.

I think this is applicable. with the vehicle sitting on the ground and the suspension in a neutral position, untorque and the retorque all the cam bolts and see if that has any effect.

I think the previous person who said something looks off in your second to last picture is also on to something. The bushing in that photo seems to be all twisted up as if the cam bolt was torqued with the suspension drooped and then you let it off the jack stands. This would also explain why your suspension is acting funny when you accelerate and the front end rises...
 
Ended up getting the Energy suspension bushings installed in stock control arms I had. The install went well and after adjusting the tow (it was way out) everything seems to be back to where it should be. I took it for a drive and the camber is rock solid now. It dose not have any movement from where it is no matter what direction I am going. I will have it aligned tomorrow and we will see what happens then.
I did torque everything after setting it on the ground... and I mean everything...

Time will tell on how the ES bushings hold up, but they make the truck feel way more controllable. I did also notice that my Passengers side was 1 inch higher than the Drivers side so I have to get that adjusted... but other than that it seems to be much better... So thanks for all who commented and helped out!!!

I am going through the same thing right now with my truck. The techs or (alignment operators) as I see cannot seem to get this correct with me either.

Find new alignment guys. Anybody who knows anything about alignments can look at your positive camber and tell you what needs to be adjusted or what parts need to be replaced. This aint rocket science. Take pictures of each of your 4 LCA cam adjusters (and caption which ones they are) and a print out of your last alignment and post them up. We'll do online what an $80 pr/hr guy with a 40K alignment machine can't seem to do (or at least point you in the right direction)
 
you are in Colorado. Take it to Toytec and have them align it

dropped it off at Toytec, lets see what happens!
 
99 t4r with toytec boss lift with SPC UCA's

I have a serious camber issue... when I pull it forward in the drive way the tires look like this \ / but if I back in they are a look almost perfect. I have the SPC caster adjustment at +2 (SPC logo facing tire on both sides) and the camber adjustment on the UCA about in the center.

The truck seems to be towed in as the tires will squeal a bit when driving down the road. Now on the alignment rack everything is perfect... but drive it down the road and its horrible. I took it to another shop about 30 min away and they said that everything looked good to them on paper but could not pinpoint what was wrong.

just replaced my LCA's due to worn out bushings as I thought it would fix the alignment issue. I bought the truck with all this installed and have had camber issued since I bought it.

I have a friend that knows what he is doing (master Chevy Tech) try and try to align it to no avail. Truck is all in spec on the rack... but after we drive it... it always comes back to \ / when we put it back on the rack and re-adjust it always comes back to the same \ / unless I drive backward...


Would changing the caster help as that is the only thing we have not messed with... and the steering wheel dose NOT come back to center after a turn like it should. leeding me to believe that the caster on the LR UCA's needs to be adjusted.

Here are things I have changed since I bought it...
OEM lower control arms with stock bushings
OEM axels
all new cam adjusters

What is the measurement from the center of your hub, to the bottom lip of fender?
 
I saw a youtube video by a guy who ran into that issue with his Tundra, although I think he had aftermarket spindles. His fix was to peen/stake the OD of the adapter with a chisel, then press it in haha.

Check the OD of your adapter and ID of your spindle bore and call SPC with those measurements.

As you can see - there are so many variables when new parts are added to a vehicle. Sometimes things work out perfectly, other times flood gates to older problems are opened.
