ToyTec Lift, Locking differentials?

I have a 1999 SR5 4Runner.. She has 120k and running strong..

I have this dream of making her 4x4 w/ a Manual tranny.. I was even pining over a diesel power plant (no emissions in florida).

Now being a bit more realistic I'm trying to find a cheaper way to get higher off the ground and not have a problem in the mud..

What's the biggest lift I can get from ToyTec?

What other mods do I need to make it work - extending brake lines, spacers, etc??

What about the lack of 4x4, can I get a pneumatic locking rear differential and a pair of winches and be alright?

anyone have an idea of what i'm looking at in costs??

My $.02 is it's going to be very expensive and very difficult unless you have extensive mechanical experience as well as Toyota specific experience to do a tranny swap to non-original parts and then convert to 4x4 too, then an engine maybe, ECUs, etc.. I wouldn't even think about it when you can find one that came from the factory already equipped with all the stuff you want, 5 speed, 4x4, and even a locker.
