I am just in shock of how this happened. Literally driving through the parking lot at work......heard popping and thought it was the CV joint, so I came to a stop and as I was stopping the front end on the right side kept dropping lower.

I got out and saw this..........

It's possible the Bilstein came apart internally and when you topped out going over a bump or a pot hole it over extended and caused that.

ETA: How much use on those?

There are plenty of people on here who wheel pretty hard and haven't seen this happen, especially driving through a flat parking lot.

I've never even had these offroad. Sadly ive had these on a year and a half and havent even gotten a chance to wheel

Anything man made can fail. Doesn't matter how much it cost and how tough it was. Defects happen.

I would call Toytech on Monday and talk to them about it. If that fails, I would talk to Bilstein directly.

considering they are a vendor, and alot of buisness gets sent their way from this site and the possibility of an angry reviewer id say your getting a new strut for freefiddy

Honestly, I'm not looking for a handout. Its past the warranty for the billies so there's not much they have to do and this has left a bad taste in my mouth. Nothing against Toytec as they've always been great but I'd be very concerned that the other side is going to do the same. It just baffles me that it just snapped in half in the middle of a parking lot going 5mph.

I once saw a car accident and now I'm afraid it'll happen to me. I mean really, you even said it yourself, there's tons of people here that thrash those things with zero issues. Accidents happen, parts fail. Get another one and replace it. I guarantee you the world will start spinning again.
