Just wanted to see if anyone is running it with the resivoir bilsteins in the rear and if they liked it. I was thinking of running that kit with those or the 5125. Any thoughts? Pics would be awesome too. :thumb3:

What type of usage are you planning for your vehicle? High speed off-road? Basic off-raod to get to camp sites or exploration? I also thought the Bilsteins with the resevoir would be the 5150 series. Nice shock but the 5100's have been doing just fine on mine and dont see the need. Was told by more then one source that if I need a Resevoir shock to go up to the 7100 series or another manufacturer.

Well on their site it only gives you the options of the procomp shocks, OME or the reservior shocks, but it doesnt give the option for the 5125's. I was thinking of running the 5125's with the OME 891's.

I am just looking for about a 3" lift and the ability to take trails when needed. Most likely I wont be doing any crawling or sprinted runs through trails or sand.


Also, I was wondering if the SS kit was worth the extra $300 roughly or if it was over kill for basic every day driving and occasional off road trips?

On my old truck I went from Bilstein 5100's to Fox 2.0's and it was a world of difference.

I'd look into the fox reservoirs if they fit the budget...

From my own experience and what I've read, OME coils work best with OME shocks. My 891s are awesome with the OME comfort shocks (get the 890s if you don't have extra weight though, 891s are pretty stiff). I have read several posts in which people don't like the OME coils/Billy shock combo near as much as the OME/OME combo.

We offer the 5125's but don't really recommend them on this vehicle. The valving was to soft we found. That's why they are not an option with the kit.
But if you wan them in the kit, I'm sure we can work something out!
