Toytec Ultimate vs Radflo Overland Warehouse Kits

I hear GREAT things about the Radflo suspension from OW but the Toytec I can get the UCA's and a body lift from them, as well as the diff drop kit. I am looking at buying soon and would just appreciate anyone that can give me advice that actually run these set ups or know a decent amount about them. Thanks ahead of time for your help

the radflow COs use eibach springs just like the toytec, difference is they say the shocks are valved espeacially for the 4runner. toytec uses bilstein. i believe one of the owners of the radflow worked for donehoe before his problem & the company was bought by an old customer & the name changed to icon. so they seem/look pretty close to the icons, & no doubt are great. i would of went for the icons myself but the price was too high, to me, i say, if ya want to save a bit of money, the bistein 5100 in the toytec work fine enough & im very happy with the ride & handling.

Yea, I realized that they didnt offer a 1.5" right after I posted this thread. I actually just emailed 4Crawler today about a BL from them haha. Also, I do not want to go with those terrible Procomp shocks! So I guess I will be either waiting or going with OW or ICON

Ok, here's another option: The ICON stage 1 with the rear 2.5" Piggyback reservoir option, and the extended travel option; with the UCA's from Toytec and 1.5" BL from 4Crawler?

Radflo's warranty is 1 yr.

Toytec has a lifetime warranty.

this is not a apples to apples comparison at all


i would pay money, seriously money to see one of you guys with a toytec suspension run the mojave trail i did last month at 50mph!!

i had ome the previous year doing the trail and it was miserable, this year with radflos is was like glass


and i would opt for ome any day over bilsteins...

i agree with josh on this. it really depends on what kind of wheeling you are doing. the icons and the radflos are geared more towards desert racing and going fast off road. toytecs are geared more towards rockcrawling. you can't go fast in colorado

so it really depends on what you are doing.

going fast or jumping your truck, get the icons or radflos

rock crawling, toytecs work great.

i do think bilstein is better than OME though:cheers:

I have the radflos and I rock crawl all the time hence my new addition of new gears and lockers, the radflos provide excellent articulation in the rocks that I couldn't get even close to in my old OME setup

Why don't you compare the ultimate straight up vs thr radflos?

Adding the uca's and BL doesn't really make it a good comparison does it?

we mainly do rock crawling, very few times we find a long road we can open it up, few and far between

Well, a lot of these guys, including myself, don't go to mojave and I do a lot of extremely narrow trails squeezing between trees (so.. not going 50 mph or even 15 for that matter). I am going to be trail riding in Colorado at the end of June beginning of July but it is going to be up in the Northwest and slow also; I will be on a lot more rocks than here in AL but not flying. Also, is the travel in the Radflo good, any difference between it and ICON?

Well I wasn't doing it as a "comparison" I am doing the UCA's and BL no matter what but it was to somewhat get the price to be similar. I know the Radflo's are overall better; but worth the extra money over the Toytec Ultimate for the offroad that I do. I have pretty much decided on either ICON or Radflo at this point so..... this thread maybe done with; unless I can change the poll options?

The pic of the 3rd gen is decieving (sp?) he doesn't have a front sway bar attached. A rig with stock suspension and no sway bar would do the same. And to be honest, I don't really see anything special with the flex in the first one, the driver tire isn't even stuffed in the wheel well...

He can add those for the comparison because toytec offers them. Overland doesnt offer either of those, or near as many products as toytec. If they did they could be added to overland's set up.
