Toytech Lift

Well I'm 99% sure that I'm getting a 3" toytec lift from my dad for my birthday, this is the lift: http://toyteclifts.com/index.php?pa...ategory_id=79&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53

After I install the lift I imagine my tires are going to look super small so once I gather enough $, new tires will be in the mix. Can I fit 285s on the stock rims? I'm concerned that they might be to wide. How would that lift do for mild off roading? I'm not big into mudding or anything, but if I get the chance I'm definitely going to hit a few trails. Will I need anything such as the panhard drop bracket?

Thanks in advance, Jordan

same set up im rocking. the tires barely rub on the upper a-arm. if you want to save your cv's you better get the diff drop bracket too.<a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/jinxed13/?action=view&current=DSC01263.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/jinxed13/DSC01263.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Nice lookin runner...the kit comes with the diff drop bracket. How is the offroad performance? What is the difference in ride quality? I don't think I will have any rubbing issues with 285's my coils are slightly taller in the front then yours I believe.

you lucky sob. i just noticed you have a 99.
yeah, you'll have about an extra inch above me. not sure about the rubbing though.
when out wheelinThe front rides pretty stiff cause of the spacer, but its not bad just like a truck. the rear is real nice.
bigger tires help alot to absorb the bumps, especially if you air down a little.

fyi. if i did it over id get the full kit with the new front coils. but i was already at my budget.

I agree with jinxed13 if i could have done it over i would have also gotten the front coils too. Jordan, you should be fine my 285's don't rub at all with my stock rims. But you can feel a rougher ride with the spacer. And even with the diff. drop mine still leak.

BTW jinxed13: Are those Dunlop Mud rovers? nevermind just saw you sig.
