TPMS... looking for ideas...

I just mounted a set of Cooper AT3's on my 06. While I was, one of the valve cores was corroded solid, I tried to extract it but ended up destroying the tpm.

So for now I threw a rubber valve in it. Before I go and buy a new one, anyone have suggestions for different options?

I do NOT need the TPMS. My ideal situation would be to put regular rubber valves in, and pull the bulb out of the dash (im pretty sure it's a LED thats part of the board though...

Any opinions are welcome!

Oh, and I did call the dealer and can get the newer style two piece sensor with a rubber valve. But I'd like to avoid spending $250...

If you don't want tpms then there is a thread on that , if you keep them there are aftermarket 1s or ebay sells oem 1s all the time but you would need to reprogram them . That might cost you a bit but sensors on ebay are cheap .

I recall reading in a thread that talked about pulling a certain fuse to get rid of the idiot light when not using tmps.

Many states require it for inspection FYI......find a cheap replacement online or through local parts store. Napa will work fine. Don't go to dealer. Mine was 50 bucks at napa. Then find someone to program it for you at a local shop. Anyone with a genesis setup should be able to help you
