Tpms/rear latch

Hello,

so for some reason my rear latch stopped working last Thursday evening. The door would not close, I would hear the mechanism work trying to secure and lock but it wouldn't release. After spraying it with wd40, i realized that I needed to bring it in to the stealership.

1st thing friday morning, the mechanic spent about 30minutes trying to make it work without success. He ordered the rear latch component for a mere sum of 425CDN.

This morning, the latch got replaced but I noticed that my TPMS light is NOT flashing anymore, which is NOT normal in my case. I live in montreal, and winter tires required by law for the winter season, having said that, when I change my tires for the winter season the light flashes because I don't have the sensors for the winter tires.

I spoke to the mechanic regarding the TPMS light NOT flashing and he said that he had to reset the system while he did the diagnostics for my latch problem. The service manager said the light takes a bit of time to light up after reset.....After driving for about 20miles, the light never came on.

most times it takes more than 20 miles, maybe around 100 &/or 1hr. of driving. where do u keep the set with the sensors in them? i ask cause if they're kept close to where u park at night, the light can reset each night.

the TPMS modules are installed on my 4 season tires if I'm not mistaken and they are sitting in my garage while the truck is parked outside!

yea, i park right outside the garage where mine are, too. since i dont drive much/enough everyday, its been almost 2 years since i took the stocks off, & still no light. only time was when spare tire was low.
