Traction Control '03 Sport issue

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a way to bypass the traction control on an 03 Sport V6? I can't believe Toyota didn't put in an override for this. I was reading in the manual that putting it in 4low is the only way to shut it off? This "feature" almost got me plowed off the highway by an 18 wheeler while trying to accelerate up to speed. This has happened more than once. Is anyone else annoyed with this? Any fix?

Do you have 2wd or 4wd??

If you put it into 4wd, then VSC (stability control) will intervene less. Your situation is due to STABILITY CONTROL, not traction control. VSC is the system that dethrottles you.

No, there's no quick fix. You can lock the center diff if you want to turn off VSC. (Low range does NOT turn off anything.) If you lock your center diff, then make sure that you are on slippery surfaces and do not make sharp turns.
