Traction control and center diff lock question

I have an 03 limited, V8 with full time 4wd. I have read conflicting accounts about the interplay between the center diff lock and the traction control.

Scenario A: with the center diff lock engaged, the traction control is disabled.

Scenario B: with the center diff lock engaged, the traction control system still works to distribute power left-right.

Is any of these scenarios correct or is the comiter doing something different all together?

Seems like this has been covered a number of times, but here goes. A is correct. B is correct, but it's not technically called traction control. It's called ATRAC that transmits power left to right to help you find traction. Traction control cuts throttle and engages the brakes to limit wheel spin and keeps your vehicle pointed. It is defeated if you lock the center diff.

So how does ATRAC work if it doesn't use the brakes to slow the wheel without traction?

It uses the brakes to divert the power. However it doesn't zap your throttle like traction control does.
