I'm looking to trade in my 2010TE for a Land Rover LR4. Anyone know what the trade in values are for the TE?

Depending on options and mileage you might be looking at around $30k. At least down south where I am. You'd probably be better off selling it private party since depending on where you live the TE is super hard to find.
LR4's are super cool BUT, you'd be getting yourself into a potential electrical problem nightmare. Plus the mpg on an LR4 gets highway what your 4Runner gets city. Nice ride though with cool head/tail lights. Good luck either way!

Frankly having owned a few LR's - do yourself a favor and don't do it - if you want a more luxurious option, find a 2007+ GX470 for about the trade in of your 4-runner, it's a far far nicer ride and if you shop you can find a "sport" model which includes the KDSS and 100x more comfortable than even a limited 4-runner.
My wife and I recently went the other way, we had an 08 KDSS GX470, that got hit in a hail storm, we took the opportunity to buy it out and trade it in for our limited 4R - but I will say the lexus gx470 was heads and shoulders a nicer vehicle, quieter, faster, better towing, and frankly much much better offroad in stock form (this may not be true of the TE's, ours is a limited)

I still don't see why somebody would choose a vehicle with the documented problematic rep the LRs have which is just slightly better than the Hummer brand which takes the top spot as the least reliable. I guess alot of people aren't clued in or just a glutton for punishment.

LR4s are very very nice. They drive well, have excellent interiors and make good use of cargo space. Problem is, they break. Constantly. Year after year, Rovers rank at the bottom of most reliability rankings. It's too bad, because they are as capable off road as they are luxurious.
zmw is right about the previous-gen GX470, not terrible if you can get past the looks, and you'll probably make an even trade.
Even better is the last-gen LX470 - little bit blingy, but sweet rig.

Well, I've always just wanted one since back in high school. I like the ride height, feel and looks of it.
Plus I can feel like im always going through a safari!

I took a look at the Lexus GX again, and really wish they did the refresh sooner. The LX470 seems to be a good deal/ trade off for what I want, but I really cant get over how ugly and old it looks.
The 2010 gx460 styled much better but is a little out of my price range, with local ones starting at 51K.
Because of TE shortages in my area, do you think I could squeeze anything more out of a dealer? I really wanted 30-32K for my TE (15K miles) but even if that happens, I cant see anyone dropping a 460X for less than 48K.
What do you think? Looks like if i want the GX460, i should hold off with my TE and save save save.

The Discovery's look nice. But the LR3-4 looks like ugly refrigerators! And trust me, i like boxy SUVs...but LR3-4 looks damn ugly!
I am sure that there will be plenty of buyers on this forum that would shell out $30k for your TE. Maybe find an interested buyer on this forum. What options does your TE have? Navi? KDSS?? Color? Where are you located?
the LX470 is definitely much older looking but they are indestructible - save yourself 5k and find a landcruiser though, only downside is no memory seats.
the GX is also rock solid, that 4.7L is well proven and so is the drivetrain, both have air leveling suspension (read: far better towing!) and if you buy an 08 or newer they have all the latest updates to like nav system, dark tail lights, etc...
the GX is a great buy, you can get 08s with decent miles in the low 30s, there are plenty of offroad bits for them, and frankly in my opinion they make my 2010 limited seem like a sham for the price, but the wife really likes it.
The only downside i can think of with my gx470 was the gas mileage - terrible, absolutely terrible, 16 at best with my heavy foot, and often tanks down in the 12-13 range. And the quirky side swinging door, takes a while to get used to but beyond that it's virtually the perfect truck.
If you can afford to get into a gx460, i'd expect nothing less from one o fthose but in this area, even the 2010s are pulling high high 40s or low 50s with 30-50k miles on em and i'm just not THAT in love with it.
