I feel you though. I might trade my 2010 Trail towards a 2015 2500 Duramax Sierra. Not quite the same comparison, but the thought of letting the 4Runner go is hard to bear. In the end I might talk myself into keeping it and just adding the pickup. I have no need for a 3rd vehicle, but the 2010 4Runner is the single best year it has been made, IMO of course.

To add insult to injury, I just took the 4Runner in for a brake job (front pads + all rotors turned), rear diff fluid change and oil change.

I have no problem with the posts; all in good fun. I think most of us lost our balls / minds via marriage and kids.

Agreed, we all have to make tough choices. I'm selling my 5th Gen now due to the fact that I recognized that I need a truck, most likely a Tundra or Tacoma.

The only minor consolations are the 6.2 second 0-60 and the 24MPG.

Well, the 5th Gen (10-13, definitely NOT the 14 front) is the best looking 4Runner to my eyes. I am a residential designer and I love the square lines. Masculine and not over done. Mechanically, perfect... at least mine so far, nearing 50k miles. I live in Colorado and am frequently on slick highways at high speed. Some might need full time 4WD but I don't and I am really partial to the old school lever. So my Trail suits me best. And why a 10 over 11-13? Well, our 10s don't have a black box if nothing else. I'm not much of a Big Brother fan.
