traded my '05 limited for a '06 limited

traded my silver '05 limited today which had 58,000 miles, for a galactic gray '06 limited... had to take off all my upgrades.. hid's, usa spec,.. but i forgot to take out my led tail lights (do'h).. reason i upgraded is i like the 18's rim, the bigger fenders, head lights, etc.. friends say i'm crazy because everything else is the same, except for the memory seats lol... and of course, the cosmetic changes outside.. oh well.. not a fan of the 5gen 4runner.. will post some pics soon.. meanwhile here's my '05 in big bear last week...

Since you traded the 05 in, I's be interested to find out what the stealer gave you for the 05 and how much you got the 06 for, or at least what the net cost was to you. How many miles on the 06?

they gave me 18 for my '05... the '06 was 23, 50,000 miles...

i also like the 06-09 version but it would be hard to give up the trd exhaust and the peace of mind of having done all the maintenance. Still have the plat warranty until 3/2011 too. Only issues I've had so far is the moonroof jam tsb and sulfur tsb. (knock on wood)

I've have '05 SR5 with 52k miles and been toying with the idea of upgrading it to '08 or '09 but can't find one that I like. All the T4R's that I looked at have high mileage for the year.

if your'e talking about the leds tail lights, yeah, i would have let it go cheap too :ybrick:.. however they are non oem (eagle eye brand) and regardless of what everyone says who has them, they are not that bright compaired to koito (the oem brand) and the fitment is a little off on the sides (there should be a little gap).. and if you leave that gap, water and moisture can get in (because it did on mine), this is because of the different seal that they use... anyway, i have already upgraded my '06 to hids (6000k low beam and fogs), installed my ipod adaptor (usa spec), vleds on rear plates, running boards and doors since i got it yesterday. still cant wipe the smile on my face everytime i see the runner.. i am in love all over again :biggrin2:
