Traded my 2005 Sport for a 2007 Limited

Our family is really good family friends with the owners of our local Toyota dealership and they took in a White 2007 Limited V8 on trade for a really good deal. I ended up paying their invoice and they gave me top of the book for my truck, so it ended up being a great deal for me. The old one is a 2005 Sport V8 with more KMs, so hopefully it was worth while. I've always wanted a Limited.

Anyways, has anybody else done this move? Was it worth it?

Not sure how much you got for the 2 cars...but if you bought it out right...then yes it's worth it. If you dragged your payments for another 5 years, then i'd have to say that you're wasting $$$.

I went from a 2004 V8 Sport to a used 2007 V8 Limited bought in 2009, but there was a year in between of no 4R

When I was looking again I actually was looking for a Silver 2005 V8 Sport with no luck, but ran across a really good deal on the 2007 Limited so I bought it. Of course 1 week after I buy the 2007 Limited a low mileage 2005 Silver V8 Sport lease return shows up at my local Toyota dealer.:happens:

I'm quite happy with the 2007 Limited, and as it turns out it's much better for pulling a trailer with the load levelling suspension than the Sport would have been. The only downside to me is that I'm not a big fan of leather seats.

What is important in dealing with car dealers is to get what you want for a price you are willing to pay. No further analysis needed. The dealer takes good care of himself on all deals, even if the sale is to the owner's mother.

"haha"? My personal financial decisions aside, I was asking about comparing the Sport to the Limited. Specifically the 2005 Sport to the 2007, which I know had the facelift. Is there anything else added from 2005 to 2007, or from the Sport to the Limited?

I'm really looking forward to the load levelling rear suspension. I'm always towing a camper, enclosed trailer or my girlfriends horses. The Sport handled the load, but I was considering Firestone airbags to level out the ride, but without the compressor so this is much better.

In this case, I paid what the dealer gave the previous owner on trade. I got top of the book as I mentioned for my truck. Meaning, wholesale, so yes they have their opportunity to make a few bucks when they go to sell my truck for retail. Either way, I'm happy with the transaction and the upgrade.
