No problem!

I threw in a few poser shots for fun. Oh yeah, and I didn't air down at all. The hill is sandier than it looks. Only one point where I felt like I needed to engage the rear locker and it was on a steep rock climb out of a sand base. Climbing rocks was a piece of cake, as long as I had the clearance (which could be better), never slipped to the side. I guess I didn't get any pics of the rocky parts, oops.

My only complaint is that traction control thing when the gas pedal shudders. And I wish there were an interior handle on the rear hatch or remote mechanism.

Granted, these aren't dunes in the summer, but at the very worst all I would need to do is air down and it would be no issue.

I'm against making large purchases just for looks, but even if you weren't riding trails, those KM2's look so good (there is a hit on mpg!), that is, if you want your ride to look bad ass. :boink: And they leave you without any worries on the rough stuff!

Beautiful pics. I wish I was there right now. Is that Canyonlands NP area?

It is actually the 4wd trail in Arches to Tower Arch, a little more technical (rock crawling) than I expected. The last pic is from near the Dome Plateau, northeast of Moab.

It was a rad time and a surreal place. So many trails... :bluejump:

were you in 4hi when the peddles shuddered?

Yes and I was going over a rock, slightly uphill. It has also happened when fish tailing in mud, also in 4H. Now that you mention it, I don't think it would happen in Lo because the disabled traction control light comes on in Lo. I guess that's the only way around it?

By the way, did you figure out what that clunking noise in reverse was?

jbirk: The KM2's are same as stock size, 265/70/17. I'd want a lift (Icon) before going bigger (probably when these tires wear out). From what I've read elsewhere, you could fit 275's, but KM2's don't come that size and I don't think I'll switch to any different tire, unless I completely give up going on trails, which isn't going to happen. I sleep well knowing those are on. :D

For those familiar with the area, I made it to Again and Again Hill, but lost my nerve. Probably could do it, but I didn't want to push my luck this time. I took a random trail instead and somehow ended up on the cliff above Dome Plateau.

i put it in 4hi and drove around for a while and the clunking went away... was really really weird.

you can disable vsc in 4hi by pushing the vsc off button?

then you dont get the peddle shudder and can drive around in 4hi :D

Nope, press your TRAC button to turn it off at anytime. Press and HOLD your TRAC button (3 sec) to turn it off along with VSC. Have fun!

**Pst - It's in the manual** :)

I thought I tried that in the mud, but I'll give it another shot. Thanks!

Glad you guys enjoyed the pics! I never get tired of how good she looks. With a lift, I don't think I could do anything but stare... :snacker:

I'm thinking of going the same route with tires, I like the KM2's but I want to keep the tire size fairly close to stock since I drive city about 95% of the time. I am planning on getting the Icon Coilovers and rear shocks, and possibly the rear 2" lift coil springs, Do you think with your stock wheel/km2 tire combo and a 2-2.5" lift, everything would look just as good, or do you think the tires would outright look too small with that amount of lift?

I was also thinking to get the spidertrax wheel spacers to move the tires out further to help vehicle stance and wondering if the tire size was still stock as in your case, I would have any rubbing with them. When I do go offroading, I go over alot of rocky terrain, large boulders and etc.

Your 4Runner looks great with those tires!!

I think you'd be OK, but would recommend looking at pictures of people here that have lifted and kept 265 size tires. 265 KM2's will definitely look better than those due to the knobbiness, but really aren't any bigger. Mine do kind of look large on my stock height TE though, maybe an optical illusion?

Personally, I plan on going for some 305's (I guess 285's rub?) once my current tires wear out. At some point between now and then, I will put on an Icon suspension kit. However, I want 305's primarily for performance reasons and not for looks. Though they do look damn good!

If you're not going to be off-roading, get a tire that is better in the snow stock and has longer tread life. KM2's would cost you and be a crying shame that they weren't used for what they were created.

If it's all about saving on the mpg's, there isn't much of a difference between tire sizes on the KM2. At least from my discussion with other owners.

Killer Pics... and that's a great trail (done it). Reminds me the last time we went to Moab/Arches/Canyonlands... we had a Infiniti FX - couldn't do any rocks... but it was a blast to throw around.

Thanks for posting!!!
