anyone know if its possible to order Trail Ed wheels from Toyota? i thought i heard a while back that they wont sell anyone trail ed stuff unless customer proves they have a trail ed vehicle.

"Trail Team" as in FJ Cruiser, not Trail Edition.

Try and find out, if you're really looking for some I would sell you mine, it would give me a great excuse to get new wheels for my TE
 
I'm sure the dealer could get you a Trail wheel, although you might want to be sitting down when you hear the price tag. Another option would be to post something in the "For sale/wanted to buy" thread. Someone might have a set they are willing to break apart.

I agree with you. I was at the dealership last week looking for a quote on FJ/TE wheels for my winter tires, whopping CAD $675/wheel :bash:

I settled for used 2008 17" Tacoma wheel I found on kijiji website (local online classified advertisements) for $CAD 360 set of 4 wheels.
 
Never ever try to buy factory wheels of any type from the dealer. My best friends dad is the owner of our local Toyota/Lexus dealer, which has helped me out on numerus occasions, but if you don't know somebody, you're screwed. Dealers will sell TE parts also. I just ordered TE headlights/Fog light shrouds, front grill, and new rear plack and emblems for my SR5. I can't stand chrome.
