Trail Silver Valance!

Got a quote for 3M Wrap in black satin for $300 front and back valance. Roof rack was $150 since its hard to do....wonder if its cheaper to buy the TRD valance and install them. What you guys think of the $300 price?:help::violin:

Not worth 450 in total. I did my roof racks my self in black and it was super easy. It was much easier than the front valance.

Buy the wrap and do it yourself. It is very forgiving if you mess up. Just use a hair dryer to get it warm and malleable and it goes on easy. Practice on a few things if you want but it is very forgiving.


Better yet, spend 15 bucks on a can of plastidip and spray it black. Itll save you a bunch of time and money

Yep I think its worth a shot. It feels good to do things like this yourself. The sheet of vinyl cost like $25 so if I screw it up it okay.

You may also want to think about something I use for a lot of things - Mar-Hyde Paintable Rubber Undercoating.

The stuff is tough as nails and very easy to repair if it gets damaged.

Caveat is, once you spray it on it's not coming off. I hassled with trying to keep my mailbox (as an example) looking decent and finally sprayed it with this stuff. 2 years in the sun and Colorado hail and still looks like new.

Here is what I used when I did mine. Have used this product for years. Remove pieces that you want to paint. Scuff shine off paint with a auto body scuff pad. Wipe down part with mineral sprits. Spray 3 light coats of trim paint. Allow 5 minutes in between coats. Dry to touch within 30 minutes. Fully cured within 24 hrs. Matches all other flat black paint on truck. Here is a picture of the product and a couple more of parts painted. Front and rear valance, roof rack rails and emblems. Picture of stripes I laid down on my mustang 8 years ago. Very durable product. Great for spot blending also if needed without repainting piece again. A lot better look then plastic dip in my opinion. Just another option for anyone that is interested.Runs about 16.00 a can and scuff pad is 3.50
