Trail/Urban TomTom Nav System

I have the factory TomTom Navigation system, and find it almost worthless. The radio is hard to work, the Ipod resets everytime I turn the engine off, and the TomTom is too small to see. The only thing good about the TomTom is that it is demountable and can be used outside the 4Runner. Is there any value in it, or should I just replace it and be done with it. I would like to get a Sirius, but can't with the Ipod attachment. What to do?

Dump it. I've researched them and heard nothing but bad. I almost bought one a couple of weeks ago because they were dirt cheap and decided not to because I couldn't find anything good about it.

The one part that seems semi-valuable is the trim piece that goes around the stereo. If you get something that is not a factory stereo then keep that piece to make the fit of the aftermarket unit look better and fit better.

I think the sport model factory stereo is just easier because you can use the factory aux for your ipod and control it right on the ipod instead of the unnecessarily complicated setup you have here. Overall it's easier. I just use the navigation on my iphone. Then I'm all set, and those radios can be had for like $75 and are a nice factory fit.
