Trail wheels & duratracs - pics

I tried to find some pics of the 5th gen/FJ trail wheels on a 4th gen and didn't find that many. So, in case anyone is considering this setup in future, wanted to post up a thread with pics.

They are gunmetal, which I like. They seem to have a polished lip/outer ring, which I don't like. They have lower offset (stick out further) than the stock 4th gen sport wheels, which I like. I like the Duratracs, but need more serious miles before I can do a valid comparison to the Grabber AT2s I had and loved. I have FJ springs / billies @ .85, fender liner moved forward, mud flaps deleted and zero rubbing of any kind, even with spidertrax.

just curious. do any of you guys that run these wheels use the Spidertrax spacers as well OR are the spacers not needed because these wheels naturally stick out farther with the offset difference. Do an of you have pictures (with or without spridertrax) looking front to back or back to front to get a perspective on how flush the tire sits wrt to the fender?

I have a set of these wheels in my basement (waiting to install with my next set of tires) and I'm not sure if the spidertrax is needed to get the wider stance with this wheel switch, reason I ask.

From my understanding, the 5th gens are lighter silver shade than the FJ TEs which I have. :thumb3:

Yup...

And the off-set is different, I believe.

Good to know! I like the gunmetal finish, so I am glad I got the FJ TEs instead of the regular 5th gen cookie cutters.
