trailer hitch wiring

searched a bit but couldn't find what I was looking for...the wires for my trailer hitch just hang down, do they store somewhere? it kinda looks like it has 2 bolts through it that may have been broken. anyone know where these bolt up? I'm not trying to use the trailer hitch just yet. thanks.

It probably just screwed into the bottom of the hitch to the left or right of the actual receiver. My guess is the screws rusted and broke.

Yep. 2 holes on the bottom of the factory hitch. Looks like yours broke off.
