tranfercase breather

hey all,
im going to be extending my rear breather tomorrow and it got me thinking to search for the front diff and transfer case breathers...I checked under the hood and i can only find 1 breather it is located on the drivers side of the engine bay I think this one is the front diff breather.....can anyone help me find where the tcase breather is?

Patience....11 hours is not enough time to expect an answer. You should also have done a search, which returned 70 hits on the term "breather". You'd have seen that the question was asked before.

I don't think the transfer case breather is extended on the 3rd generation models. You'll have to crawl underneath there to double-check.

I read somewhere that the 3rd gens should have 2 breathers on the well inside the engine bay on the driver's side. Mine only has one and I am not sure if it is to the diff or xfer case. So there does seem to be some bad info floating around.

My 01 has both of them up inside the front/drivers wheel well. Looks like you will need to take a trip under your truck to see what is going on...
