Tranny Fluid drain/change ?

Is there a tranny fluid walkthru on here somewhere ? I searched for a diy/ writeup and didnt find anything 3rd gen specific. Where is the drain plug ? what fluid to use ? and how much fluid ? if i need to take the whole pan off, do i need a new gasket as well ?

Well that's a full flush and pan cleaning in that link. I don't know if there are any simple drain & fill write-ups so I sent you to the full deal. You can just pull the drain plug, drain, put the plug back, refill with new fluid through the dipstick tube. That will replace 4 quarts or so and can be done in less than 20 minutes. Do that a few times. Just make sure to match the quantity of what you drain out...and pour the new fluid in slowly. If your new to maintenance stuff that would be the way to go.

thanks i think i'll do that instead, i'll get 2 gallons of the stuff at walmart or something lol.
