Tranny question about 4x4 shift

Recently did a clutch swap on my 93 v6, drives fine, but i can't shift into 4x4, low or high, the shifter will just not move more then an inch or so, anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas

Sounds like the t-case shifter may be in wrong.
Did you pull the t-case and trans as one unit or separately?

I meant the transfer case internal linkages (shift forks and fork shafts, springs and stoppers), but in any case, I just checked the FSM, and there doesn't seem to be any adjustment possible to them.

AH, but what the manual doesn't tell you, is that you can reinstall the shifter wrong depending on what mode the case was in when you removed it, or if the shift rods got moved while it was out.

Hence my original reply.
