Tranny Swap question

Gonna need to swap a rebuilt automatic transmission into my '95. I would like to pull the motor and trans together and fix the exhaust manifold gaskets I goofed up when I did the head gaskets. Then mate the trans and motor and put it all back in. That's how I did my FJ40 years ago.

Anyone ever pull them as a pair before?
Maybe it would be better to drop the tranny and do the gaskets in the truck, again.

If you have a big enough engine hoist and the room, you could pull it all at once. Otherwise separately can be easier, esp if you have a tranny jack.

Now that I think about it, the entire grill comes off of an FJ40, leaving plenty of room for finagling the thing in and out in one piece. I think I will drop the tranny.
