can i put a transmission from a 1991 toyota 4runner V6 , auto 4x4. into a 1989 toyota inline 4 cyl, auto 4x4?
tranny swap!!!

I'm surprised nobody else has answered this yet, so I'll bite.....
A 1989 Toyota what? 4Runner?? Land Cruiser? Pickup?
Usually, the only way it will fit is if both are the same series (model) number of transmission. The owners manuals of both vehicles should have this info. However, it's not very likely it will fit because USUALLY the configurations of 4 and 6 cylinder engines are significantly different where the transmission bolts on.
